Consisting of Civil War diary, 1862, re Keith's service in Orr's Rifles Regiment, including troop movements from Sullivan's Island, S.C., to Virginia, lists of accounts, addresses of other soldiers, and list of law books and other volumes. Also contains 17 volumes, 1825-1843 and 1848, consisting of published books used by Keith as a student, some while attending South Carolina College (now University of South Carolina), 1840-1843, including William Hickey's The Constitution of the United States, with presentation inscription, 2 Oct. 1848, to "E.M. Keith from J.C. Calhoun."
